UnderRail 2 just got a dedicated Steam page and developers Stygian Software posted a 10+ minute long gameplay video. Keep in mind that the footage is from the Alpha version of the game, which is still very much in development. The devs plan on releasing the game to Early Access soon, so stay tuned.
UnderRail 2: Infusion is going to be a follow up to UnderRail, a hard-core, tough as balls, isometric RPG in the spirit of Fallout. And by Fallout, I mean classic isometric Fallout, not 1st Person Shooter/RPG Bethesda Fallout.
UnderRail and Infusion take place in a post apocalyptic world, where the remnants of mankind took shelter in a massive underground metro-system to survive, as the the surface became uninhabitable. Of course, said metro-system is brim-full of things that think that you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Luckily, the game gives you the tools to survive. The first UnderRail boasted a ton of skills, weapons and abilities that you could learn and master. A full crafting system that was very fun to use. It even had Psionics as an option to lay waste to your enemies with your mind.
UnderRail 2 plans to take the whole thing up a notch, with a better UI and more fluid combat, especially in encounters with many enemies at once. Check out the Alpha demo gameplay video below.
