Check Out: InZOI

There’s a stunning new contender for the life-management genre in town, and it’s called inZOI. Developed by Krafton, a South-Korean company based in Seoul, this game is all about living out your virtual dreams with graphics so realistic you might forget you’re playing a game. The Unreal Engine 5 visuals bring your “Zois” (that’s what they call the characters, just like Sims would the in the Sims 4) and their world to life in an impressive way.

The game is more than just a pretty face, though. This is an open-world life sim that gives you unprecedented control. Not only can you make hyper-detailed characters and build incredible, customizable houses, but you can also change your city’s social trends, disaster frequency, and overall cleanliness level. Want a clean, orderly metropolis inspired by Seoul, or a messy, chaos-filled coastal town? The choice is yours.

One of the coolest features is the “Smart Zoi” AI, which aims to make your characters feel more autonomous and real. They’ll make decisions based on their personality and experiences, leading to organic and unpredictable storylines. Plus, inZOI throws in features fans have been asking for, like drivable cars and furniture customization that goes beyond simple color swaps.

The developers have shared an exciting roadmap with a focus on adding deeper gameplay. A major feature coming in the near future is a shop management system, allowing your Zois to open and run their own businesses like bakeries, bookstores, and florists—complete with inventory, pricing, and hiring employees!

Other planned updates include:

  • Deeper Family Dynamics: Improvements to family interactions, a full Family Tree System, and better parenting mechanics.
  • New Activities: The introduction of swimming and pools, as well as other leisure activities like rollerskating.
  • Quality of Life: Features like a Memory System to track important Zoi moments, an AI Build function to help create houses quickly, and Multitasking so Zois can, say, eat and watch TV at the same time.

While it’s still in Early Access on PC (it launched in March 2025), the foundation is solid. If you’re a fan of the life simulation genre and are looking for a game that blends incredible realism with deep, creative control, inZOI is definitely one to watch!
