If you ever wanted to manage your own stable of gladiators, this might just be the game for you. Bloodgrounds, developed by Exordium Games, has just been released into Early Access.
The game is a combination of city management and tactical role-playing. You will have to recruit gladiators from different classes, train them in different skills, outfit them in loot and then unleash them into the arena for tactical battles. Proper positioning and the use of specific skills will win you the day here. The game even has exotic stuff like mages with control over the elements and monster enemies, like the Minotaur. After that, you will need to use your earned gold to upgrade your city, turning it from a desolate place into a thriving metropolis. All of this is done in gorgeous pixel art with a suitably epic soundtrack.
