Cralon First Gameplay Trailer

Cralon First Gameplay Trailer

Cralon just got a (really short) gameplay trailer at the Dames 4 Games Halloween showcase. If you ask yourself just what a Cralon actually is, well it’s the first game of Pithead Studios, a German development team founded by the founders of Piranha Bytes after that studio closed down. Piranha Bytes brought us legendary classics Gothic and Gothic II, as well as the Risen series and more recently, ELEX I and II.

Cralon aims to be a game along the lines of Ultima: Underworld, offering a huge dungeon that you can seamlessly explore, infused with a lot of Gothic magic. And when I say Gothic magic, it’s something you cannot quite explain, unless you play the games yourself. You basically start out as a literal nobody, get your butt kicked by a chicken, then you save-scum the game until you beat said chicken, repeating the whole process until you find a better weapon and as you keep playing, you discover a rich and detailed world with a dark atmosphere that does not let you go until the end credits roll.

Check out the trailers for Cralon below, and also wishlist the game on Steam so you can keep up with it’s development until release day.
