A reveal trailer for Halo: Campaign Evolved just dropped. Halo Studios are remaking and re imagining the original Halo: Combat Evolved from way back in 2001 in Unreal Engine 5. It remains to be seen what exactly they are re imagining, and what will be changed from the original game. However, the announcement contained this:
“Halo: Campaign Evolved is a faithful yet modernized remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign. Experience the original story rebuilt with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and refined controls, plus three brand-new prequel missions featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson”
Take a gander at the announcement trailer below, and keep in mind that this is all pre-release, so it will probably run smoother and stuff might still get changed along the way for the final product. The game will launch sometime in 2026 for PS5, XBone and PC.
