Your ultimate goal is to survive, run successful operations, and expand the criminal empire of your undead masters. If you play your cards right and prove your worth, you can earn the ultimate prize of your undying service, which is being turned into an immortal vampire yourself.

What makes the game stand out is how it handles the vampire lineages. Instead of treating all vampires the same, MoonFall features four major vampire lineages that essentially act as entirely different species. Each lineage has its own unique lore, distinct origin story, and supernatural powers. When you choose a lineage to align with, it completely changes the story routes, meaning the game is packed with real choice and consequence mechanics that give it tons of replay value. Your reputation with these factions and the loyalties you build with NPCs will genuinely dictate the fate of the city.

The actual gameplay loop shifts gears in a really fascinating way depending on what you are doing.
